Plan a visit 9am this Sunday, we’d love to meet you…

Created

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. Therefore we believe that God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit created all things.

Redeemed

Each of us has ignored and rejected God and is in need of a saviour. God sent his Son Jesus to rescue us by his death and resurrection. We can receive salvation by turning to God in repentance and faith in the work of Jesus Christ.

Transformed

In Christ we become united as God’s family, his church. His Holy Spirit now lives in us, transforming us to be made more like Christ as we await his return.

Plan a visit

We’d love to welcome you this Sunday.
Church starts at 9am.
8 Pelias St Exmouth

We know it can be hard visiting somewhere new. At Church each Sunday we will sing a few songs, hear a talk from a part of the Bible, and there is something especially for the kids. You can wear what you like, stay for as long or as little as you want, and can feel free to simply sit back and see what we are on about. We have plenty of on-site parking and our building is air-conditioned and has disabled toilets.

About us

Our purpose is to be a worshipping family of God devoted to making and maturing disciples of Christ.

We warmly welcome everyone to attend our Sunday 9am church service – even if you have not set foot in a church for decades (or even ever). Likewise if you are visiting Exmouth we would love you to join us in fellowship. We have many visitors each year and find it a great encouragement when Christians of all denominations come together to glorify God. We hope that we can be an encouragement to you too.

As the body of Christ we seek to learn from God’s word, the Bible and apply it to our lives each day. We also desire to serve one another by encouragement, teaching and even correcting where necessary. We seek to reach out to our community with the saving words of the gospel in the hope that the Holy Spirit will work in their lives to convict them of the truth about Jesus.

Simon Roberts

Simon joined Exmouth Anglican Community Church as Minister-in-charge in 2020. He is married to Alison and has two adult daughters. Simon loves teaching people from God’s word and seeing people learn about the Lord Jesus Christ. He also loves all things to do with coffee, cycling, photography and the ocean. Simon also serves as the Archdeacon for the Pilbara, meaning he helps support his fellow workers in Anglican churches throughout the Pilbara region.

Anglican Diocese
of North West Australia

We are one of the biggest land-based diocese in the world, covering about two million square kilometres from Dongara in the south, to the top of Western Australia, and east to the South Australia and the Northern Territory borders. We have 16 parishes, consisting of farming, fishing, and mining communities with populations from 700 hundred to over 37,000. We also have three Mission to Seafarers’ ministries, along with rural and prison chaplaincies.

Bush Church Aid

Bush Church Aid has a heart for people living in remote and regional Australia. We are committed to going the distance to reach Australia for Christ. Bush Church Aid works with Anglican Dioceses to place committed and gifted Christians in a variety of locations to help people connect with the grace of God revealed in Jesus.

Our history

The Shire of Exmouth was inaugurated at the beginning of 1964 and the first Anglican church service was held in the caravan of Mrs Broad on 3 September 1964 by Rev. Ted Doncaster of Carnarvon. Regular services began in the Shire Office in 1965 before moving to a temporary chapel, the school and then the Court House. The Chapel on U.S. Navcomsta Harold E. Holt was dedicated on Sunday 5 May 1968 and by arrangement with the Royal Australian Navy it was used for Sunday services until 18 November 2007. In January 2009 we purchased our current site (8 Pelias St) and our new building was completed in June 2010.
